Happy Turkey Day

November 26th, 2008 No Comments

The studio has been hoppin for the Holiday Season. We have not been able to blog quite as much. I though t I would post a few of the awww moments that have caught my eye the past couple of days before heading home. I hope everyone has a wonderful Turkey Day!Kelly and Brea are wonderful mothers, they have their hands full with twin boys Austin and Brayden.More and More furry friends are opting in on the family photos. Sometimes they steal the show:) These are the same two girls in the snowflake scene holiday card posted earlier. They really are a cute pair.

Garrett brought in her brothers for family pics. The two boys were a hoot. I was almost rolling on the studio floor with laughter.

Isn’t she the most beautiful snow baby?

Give the Gift of Memories

November 21st, 2008 No Comments

Never sure what to give someone for Christmas – time less portraits make great gifts. For the Friday after thanksgiving, Portraiture is offering to make the giving of memories easier and more rewarding.
For all gift certificates purchased on Friday November 28 you will receive an additional gift certificate for half the value. For example if you purchase a gift certificate for $100, you will receive a second gift certificate for $50. Use the additional gift certificate as a bonus for the original gift certificate holder, as an additional gift for someone else, or even splurge on yourself. The studio will be open 10-5 on Friday November 28.

Second certificate is good for sessions booked and taken during January 2009 and February 2009 only. Offer not valid with any other discounts.

A Touch of Color

November 21st, 2008 No Comments

I have had some fun designing some new backgrounds for our seniors. I really love the splash of color designs. I had a great time playing around with them for Audra’s senior studio session. They are fun loving and easy. Also with the 60.s style mod dress that she wore for part of the shoot the set was great. Audra was relaxed for the shoot while listening to jazz and singing along with many of her faves. It was easy to capture many different personalities and expressions. I have also postd a few of the more dramatic shots on the website under seniors.

More Seniors

November 13th, 2008 No Comments

I believe we have photographed the last of our fall seniors this year. We had a small spurt right before the cold came in. From here on out if anyone wants to trek outside of the studio I will have to put on my heavy gloves and boots. We can always warm up with hot cider or chocolate after.

If you don’t want to be in the Holiday cards this year, remember a candid pic with the pooches makes a great card everyone loves.

Halloween Dragon

November 1st, 2008 No Comments

About one month ago Anthony let me know he wanted to be a dragon for Halloween. I told him, “no problem. Mimi has plenty of time to make you a costume.” I insisted that a costume needn’t be bought and went about planning to make this elaborate dragon costume. Well life at the studio got busy and the days flew by. Yesterday (Halloween day) I was a sight to see flying through Walmart, Target and Meijer trying to piece together a dragon. So Anthony our marvelous dragon wore a blue hoodie and red sweatpants covered in felt circles (dragon scales), green gloves on his feet (dragon feet), and adult fairy wings (dragon wings). The saving grace of the whole costume was the dragon hat that I use at the studio.

Ta-Da we have Anthony the Dragon!
