In Search of Puddles…

April 30th, 2009 No Comments

Anthony came by the studio to see me yesterday. “Puddles Mimi, Puddles.” So we slid on his rain boots and we all went in search of the illusive puddle.

Ps Anthony . . . I love you

Cookout at Mimi’s!

April 25th, 2009 No Comments

My parents, sister, and the kids entertained Craig and I last night by coming over for a “surprise cookout.” I took a few snaps for fun before the food was done. I got this outfit for Abigail on Monday, she will outgrow it by tomorrow. Oh, soooo big :)

Anthony has recently informed me he is no longer a baby . . . “I’m a big boy now mimi, I’m a power ranger”

Craig got Anthony a bike about a month ago. Angela told me he brings it into every room with him at home and also cleans it (a sure sign he likes something). He states so matter of factly – “I love my bike.”

Local Artist and Friend – Casey Harshbarger

April 23rd, 2009 No Comments

I know that my website is getting noticed more all the time, because people have asked me about the wonderful music that plays while they are looking at the images. (Stay tuned, we are looking at changing the format, but never the music!). Patrick Casey Harshbarger is the talented artist that plays the pieces, but don’t think he is just a classical guitarist. He is a true rocker at heart. Visit his site for some great guitar tracks.

“I have played guitar for over 20 years. I was drawn to the instrument at a very early age by bands like Kiss & Led Zeppelin as well as Pink Floyd & Van Halen. The guitar as well as playing music is a lifelong pursuit filled with constant learning. It’s a true gift to learn something & watch yourself grow & change. I teach guitar full time @ Reno’s Music in Fishers, Indiana. I believe music can save hearts & souls & truly make one stronger in mind, spirit,& body.”

Casey is forever in my heart, as he played a special piece for me as I walked down the aisle during my wedding.

Double Decker Bus

April 9th, 2009 No Comments

It is not everyday that driving down the road I see a broken down double decker bus. However, 6 months ago down the street from my parents house, near a repair garage, appeared this wonderful sight. Of course I log the image in my mind for a shoot to await the perfect time and individual.
This weekend -yah- arrived not just the perfect individual but also the perfect yellow shoes.

Oldies but Goodies 2

April 5th, 2009 No Comments

A little while back I posted a few photos that my grandmother and mom had taken of me and Angela as children with an old brownie camera. Ta Da – here is the final project. I restored and framed all the candid pics in these beautiful one of a kind glass and wood frames (the colorful the better) and put them up as a statement wall in my home. My husband refers to it as the “Ode to twins.”
