This little girl is soon going to have two little sisters for future playmates. Dressing up, barbies, and shopping is going to be very interesting with three little girls gracing their home. In the meantime, it is just mommy and me, and they made the most of it with these adorable maternity images. I can’t wait to deliver their unbelievable wall images this week.

Since the first of the year, I have been seeing more than a normal number of maternity sessions. The tenderness of these sessions is indescribable. I personally think they are the most overlooked time for a portrait session. The perfect time for a maternity session is around 32-35 weeks, but I have done some amazing sessions that were just days before the blessed event.

I am looking forward to a couple more next week. Love is definately in the air

Many times our expecting mothers have trouble deciding exactly what they want to do with their images. My suggestion to all my clients is to spend your money on what you want and if you are on a budget, let your family members purchase what they want for themselves. Never is that more true than with a pregnancy session. I love love love designing albums from all the variety of poses you can do and then topping it off with a wall piece to go in the baby’s room. It is my idea of the perfect combination. We can always place the images in a password protected gallery and family can order their own prints. So expecting mommies, treat yourself to a great maternity session. It just might make those last few weeks go by a little smoother

Recently I had my maternity session with my husband Craig. He had been on me for some time to have a couple maternity session and since I feel the ideal time is between 30-34 weeks, we went for it. I did not realize how difficult it is to direct from both behind and in front of the camera. It was quite an experience. Even though a maternity session is very personal, I wanted to share my vision of an ideal expectant couple shoot.

Okay, I know I have a thing for redheads, but I truly do think they are spitfires. Mom is not sure about whether the new baby will have red hair, but I think she wouldn’t be disappointed one way or the other.
