So do you think I will ever get tired of photographing Seeley? Anytime I have him in the studio I just can’t wait to strip him down and capture my baby. It’s five months and I already have five complete albums of him. Hmmmmm. The greatest thing about this little session was that he rolled over for the first time because I was moving around to get some different angles and he kept trying to follow me. How AWESOME is that!

As anyone who has ever come into contact with a baby knows – they have a mind of their own. But if you keep in front of them, you can get some great images just letting them be themselves. Just be open to capturing them in some unusual angles. How awesome is this little guy! Blue eyes and all.

I don’t know what it is about a baby’s hairline that fascinates me, but I when I go into a session with the idea of shooting baby parts, I never fail to get that back of the head shot. I’m not sure if it is the perfectly shaped head of a baby or the wispy hairline, but my camera can’t help but focus on at least one image in session – second only to the baby feet

Since the first of the year, I have been seeing more than a normal number of maternity sessions. The tenderness of these sessions is indescribable. I personally think they are the most overlooked time for a portrait session. The perfect time for a maternity session is around 32-35 weeks, but I have done some amazing sessions that were just days before the blessed event.

I am looking forward to a couple more next week. Love is definately in the air

To help out a busy mom during her baby’s one year shoot, I offered to pick up the cupcakes. We ordered them from a little bakery around the corner from the studio called The Sweet Life. If you have not been….my oh my…. you would love the variety of baked goods, but I can tell you the cupcakes are to die for. Corrie, the owner, is just as sweet as her desserts. YUM! (Honestly, they didn’t all make it to the session) .

Okay so how absolutely adorable is this set. When mom called and said that they wanted to bring in props from dad’s work to aid in this 6 month shoot, I couldn’t tell you how excited I was. What a great gift for Dads out there everywhere. Dress your baby up in your work surroundings and get in the photo shoot with them! My wheels are turning….how about yours?
