Erin + Jeff | Indianapolis Black and White Wedding Photographer

I get asked a lot if I do black and white wedding photography.  A lot of times a bride will ask about photojournalistic approach.  During a wedding day, I consider myself both a photojournalist — capturing the moments as the day progresses — as well as those formal couple and family portraits that nearly every family wishes to get during a celebration that brings families together from across vast distances.  And when a couple requests photojournalistic images they are most generally referring to black and white photography.

Erin and Jeff’s wedding this Saturday at the Santuary on Penn was a great opportunity to display some black and white images.  Although the color images are fantastic, I wanted the preview of their wedding to be black and white since their day had so much story to tell.  Erin’s wedding dress was a remake of her mother’s wedding dress and her beautiful bouquet was made from antique broaches.  It doesn’t get more vintage that.

I can’t wait to share the rest of the images with Erin and Jeff when they return from their honeymoon.  Thank you so much you two for letting me share in your special day.

Havilah’s | Indianapolis & Fisher’s Commercial Photographer

While working on corporate images for Havilah’s Boutique in Fishers, Indiana, we captured some great shots.  Many of these will be used for her new website.  It was great searching through racks and racks of designer gowns for these shoots.  Thanks to all the great local models that Jeannie used.

Good Luck Audra | Indianapolis Pagent Photographer

I can’t tell you how exciting it is to hear from previous high school students where I had taken their senior portraits and they are in need of additional photography services.  Whether it is for their rush pictures, wedding pictures, corporate pictures, it is always great to get a chance to sit and catch up and get excited about what is happening in their lives.  So when Audra contacted me and said, “I am in need of a vibrant and striking headshot for the Miss Indiana competition this June,” I can’t say I was too surprised.  As in the first time I got to photograph Audra, she is full of endless energy and enthusiasm.  All I can say is the competition is going to have their hands full with this girl.  Good Luck Audra.  Let me know the details so we can be in the audience cheering you on!

Sleep baby girl | Indianapolis Newborn Photographer

It’s hard to believe that it has been almost two years since I photographed this adorable baby’s parent’s wedding.  How exciting that this month has seen two babies born to previous wedding clients.  I love being a part of this growing family’s life.   They’re going to make wonderful parents!  Get some rest while you can, because if her session is any indication, this little one looks to be super active!  Congratulations
