Since the first of the year, I have been seeing more than a normal number of maternity sessions. The tenderness of these sessions is indescribable. I personally think they are the most overlooked time for a portrait session. The perfect time for a maternity session is around 32-35 weeks, but I have done some amazing sessions that were just days before the blessed event.

I am looking forward to a couple more next week. Love is definately in the air

With the hot hot summer already upon us, it was so refreshing to have fresh strawberries from Grandma’s garden. This little one started out a little tenative, but it didn’t take long to have the wonderful taste of summer oozzing everywhere!

I love using design features to add special touches to a canvas collection. This is our four 20×20 canvas series framed in Larson Juhl’s Lucrene line. The distressed wood finish complimented this family’s outdoor images and and the silver inset allowed the pieces to have a contemporary vib.

Custom one-of-a-kind ready-made frames | Indianapolis Photographer and custom framing

During the last weeks of the Christmas rush, I wanted to be able to offer my clients a finished product. So we took scrap framing and made unique mostly table top sized frames with canvas prints at a fraction of the cost of a custom ordered frame. What a huge success!!! We even had some clients come in and pre-purchase frames for their 2011 sessions. A few had us frame their gift certificates so that their loved ones could choose their own image later. We will be continuing this offer as long as our frames last (and I can’t help but keep making more). Part of what I love most about these frames is the unique sizes. Shown here is a 7×9.

“Well what do you like?”

and the answer came out sure as day . . . - “This City”

“I can do that ”

A Puggle, Boston Terrior, and Pomeranian mix greeted me at the studio with tails wagging.

With peanut butter treats in hand I was welcomed into the pack with slobbery kisses.

This adorably artsy couple stopped in today. Nick was a little shy, but Amanda was ready for a funky shoot. It was fast paced and fun. We got some unusual angles and great story telling shots. The pooch was a great prop since sit was not in her vocabulary. It only made the pics more adorable.

It has been an early spring here in Indiana and I have loved getting out and photographing the kids in the grass. These two boys weren’t quite sure just what they thought of it all. These two have a couple of great moms. Lucky, lucky boys.
